Hackathons

OQI’s Hackathon in a Box is a resource toolkit developed by OQI to empower the global organising of quantum computing hackathons to develop quantum computing applications with an SDG focus, especially in regions with limited access to quantum computing technology.

What is an OQI hackathon and what is our approach?

OQI hackathons aim to:

Contribute to the development of quantum computing applications for the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Build capacity through regionally relevant hackathons that help provide equitable and inclusive access to quantum computing education.

Bring together experts and students to mitigate the quantum divide between countries with varying levels of quantum access.

All host institutions of  OQI supported hackathons benefit from a complementary training programme and have access to OQI global community of practice.
