Enrica Porcari to represent OQI on the International Year of Quantum Technology and Science (IYQ) Steering Committee
On June 7, 2024, the United Nations proclaimed 2025 as the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology. We are excited to announce that Enrica Porcari, Head of CERN IT, is representing OQI on the IYQ Steering Committee.
Together with 30 members from academia and other international and UN organisations, the Committee will play a pivotal role in overseeing the global activities and initiatives aligning with the IYQ in 2025. Enrica will also serve on the Communications and Media Sub Committee, discussing the global events calendar for 2025, with quantum–themed events and resources being organised around the world.
At OQI we continue to contribute to shaping the future of quantum technology, with plans for organising upcoming events in 2025 aligning with the IYQ global events calendar. More information about the IYQ and activities and initiatives planned for 2025 can be found here.
