OQI supports the UN’s International Year of Quantum Science and Technology

2025 has been proclaimed the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, recognising 100 years since the initial development of quantum mechanics!

We are delighted to add our support as it resonates with our mission and coincides with the lift-off of our activities. OQI aims to facilitate equal access to emerging technologies and accelerate the potential of quantum computing for all society, driving to support the development of quantum solutions to accelerate the achievement of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In particular, one of OQI’s goals is to develop educational tools to enable everyone around the world to contribute to, and benefit from, the advancement of quantum computing applications. Through this, OQI aligns with the UN’s International Year of Quantum Science and Technology in aiming to strengthen national capacities in science education and the role of quantum technology in the development of sustainable solutions!
