Recently, Martin Gastal (Capacity Building and Partnerships Lead at OQI) visited the Hamburg Quantum Innovation Capital (hqic) to discuss the future of quantum computing and how to collaboratively advance quantum technology through open innovation for the benefit of society.
hqic is a quantum technology ecosystem, collaborating with science and industry from research to application. Martin visited to explore a range of topics, including:
- The importance of open science and knowledge sharing
- How to drive innovation through applications addressing global challenges and aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
- Multistakeholder collaboration, including research, diplomacy, private sector and philanthropy
- Building global capacity, particularly in quantum underserved geographies through educational activities such as hackathons and open-source educational tools
We look forward to continuing these conversations and exploring opportunities for collaboration as we continue working to advance quantum computing for the benefit of all!
